Helvetic E190-E2 E-Jets

Since the first E170 started flying with LOT Polish Airlines in 2004, more than 1,900 first and second-generation E-Jets have been ordered. In those 16 years, some 100 airlines and leasing companies from 50 countries have added Embraer E-Jets to their fleets and portfolios.

These innovative aircraft have transformed commercial aviation in the 70 to 150-seat capacity segment. The versatile airplanes are flying with low-cost, regional and mainline carriers around the globe. To date, the world E-Jets fleet has accumulated more than 30 million flight hours with an average mission completion rate of 99.9%.

In 2018, the highly-efficient second-generation of E-Jets, the E2s, entered revenue service. Helvetic’s 110-seat E190-E2 burns 17.3% less fuel than the first-generation E190. Six airlines currently fly E-Jets E2s.

In todays’ uncertain environment, carriers in the USA, Europe and China are using their E-Jets to restart operations after shutting down at the onset of the global pandemic. The aircraft have the ideal capacity to satisfy weak demand yet allow airlines to slowly add frequency and restore their networks as traffic volume increases.
