An optimized design means that the E-Jet is built with the lowest possible aircraft operating rate in order to carry the highest revenue-generating payload. Since fuel consumption is proportional to aircraft weight, a lighter airplane means cost savings that go right to your bottom line. When it comes best cost per trip, it’s the leader in the segment.
A streamlined maintenance program, a high degree of parts commonality among the family and fast turnaround times (in as few as 15 minutes) increases daily utilization and efficiency while decreasing unit costs.

The E195 incorporates fly-by-wire technology that helps to reduce pilot workload, improves aircraft performance, simplifies systems architecture and minimizes weight and maintenance.



An intelligent use of space

E-Jets are designed from a double-bubble fuselage concept, a shape derived from vertically overlapping two ovals to produce a four-abreast cross section.

The widest point of the upper oval, which forms the main cabin, is at elbow level when passengers are seated. This maximizes personal space and allows the installation of wider seats and a wider aisle compared to most larger jets. The width of the lower oval is greatest near the cabin floor which boosts baggage and cargo capacity.

Adding to the sense of spaciousness is a two meter high cabin, near-vertical sidewalls and large eye-level windows, almost 30% larger than those on other aircraft, that let in lots of natural light. What’s more, under seat areas are free of support railings so that passengers can stretch out in greater comfort.
E-Jets incorporate a human-focused design approach emphasizing physical and cognitive requirements and abilities. In the cockpit, the ergonomic placement of instruments and controls in a dark and quiet environment creates unsurpassed situational awareness that reduces pilot workload.


Sustainable and environmentally friendly

E-Jets comply with ICAO Annex 16 Chapter IV noise restrictions mandated in 2006.

Together with our partners, we have incorporated new sound-absorbing materials, produced lighter, quieter systems, and improved engine nacelle acoustics. Embraer teams continually work to improve aircraft operational procedures to ensure uncompromised performance at noise-sensitive airports.

General Electric’s CF34 engine is designed to be more efficient – CO, UHC, NOx and smoke emission margins range from 9% to 77% below ICAO Annex 16 (Volume II) CAEP/6 limits for the E190/E195
