The same crew qualification across the ERJ family means training is one of the simplest in the industry. With the benefits of a common family, airline schedulers and crew planners will find last-minute flight changes easy to manage.

Small units of capacity, like that offered by the ERJ, can be a low-risk way of opening new markets. As demand grows, airlines can add ERJ frequency until capacity demands the use of larger aircraft.


Strength and durability is built in

The ERJ was developed specifically for regional applications. It wasn’t stretched or shrunken from a design meant for another application. It’s an optimized family of regional jets, from top to bottom.

The ERJs airframe has proved itself time and again. The robustness and durability of the design reflected in the ERJ’s 75,000 flight hours or 60,000 cycle crack-free design life. A Central Maintenance Computer (CMC) enables real-time monitoring and automatic fault-finding.


Space and comfort for crew and passengers

On the flightdeck, pilots appreciate the dark and quiet design philosophy that maximizes ergonomic benefits and safety while minimizing workload.

In the cabin every last detail has been considered. Overhead stowage compartments feature space-saving retractable panels and with no middle seat and the three-abreast, 31inch seat pitch, every passenger has a window or aisle seat.

Three galley arrangement options let airlines customize their standard of in-flight catering and cabin service and all cabins have been designed with crew efficiency and easy maintenance in mind.

Emissions from the ERJ145XR have values (margins) well below the CAEP/6 limits for:
