Embraer has received an impressive number of commitments for new aircraft at this year’s Farnborough Airshow. Transactions – firm contracts and Letters of Intent – from eight customers for 300 new first and second-generation E-Jets are valued at some USD15.3 billion if all options and purchase rights are exercised.
The orders cap a tremendous first two days of the show where the E190-E2 Profit Hunter, in a head-turning shark livery, is grabbing everyone’s attention. Despite its ferocious-looking exterior, those who flew on the airplane during the show have remarked at how quiet the E2 is on the inside.
Here is a summary of announced order commitments as of July 17, 2018. Embraer is welcoming two new E-Jet customers – Wataniya Airways of Kuwait, and an undisclosed operator from Spain. Both have placed firm orders for the E195-E2.
