The E-Jets program just reached another milestone – delivery of the 1,400th production aircraft.
The E175 was handed over to representatives from American Airlines and Envoy Air in hangar F300 at Embraer’s main assembly facility in São José dos Campos on December 6.
Envoy Air is a fully-owned American Airlines subsidiary and will operate the aircraft as American Eagle. It is Envoy’s 44th E175. Envoy also has a fleet of over 100 Embraer ERJs.
Since the first E-Jet entered revenue service with US Airways in 2004, over 100 airlines and leasing companies have added E-Jets to their fleets. To date, the program has accumulated more than 1,800 orders.
Today, 70 airlines from 50 countries are flying Embraer E-Jets. The versatile aircraft family is in service with mainline and regional airlines as well as low-cost carriers.
