The latest E2 certification test analyzed aircraft systems handling on wet runways. Four days of trials were conducted at the company’s Gavião Peixoto facility and monitored by ANAC, Brazilian aviation authority.
The E2 passed through 19 mm (0.75 inch) of standing water with engines at full, reverse, idle and varying speeds. With each pass, a large plume of spray engulfed the aircraft fuselage as water contacted critical surfaces. The test results revealed no degradation to aircraft systems, engine performance, APU, or systems measuring speed and altitude during take-off, rejected take-off and landing.
