RAA Members Meet in Montréal

Embraer RAA Members

Members of North America’s Regional Airline Association held their annual convention at Montréal’s Palais des Congrès from May 6-9.  The RAA is a forum in which representatives from airlines, airports, manufacturers, aviation industry suppliers and government meet to exhibit their products and review critical issues facing the regional market.  Discussion topics this year included the impact of pilot shortages, next generation air traffic control systems, and budget cuts that have furloughed controllers at smaller airports.

Embraer RAA Members Conference

Embraer displayed its E-Jets product line at an exhibit that also featured Brazilian refreshments in its hospitality area.  The North American sales and marketing team also updated journalists at a special press briefing conducted by (below L-R) Paulo Cesar de Souza e Silva, President and CEO of Commercial Aviation, Charlie Hillis, Vice President, Sales & Marketing for North America, and John Linn, Vice President, Services & Support.

Embraer hosted a dinner for customers and guests at L’Auberge St. Gabriel in Old Montréal while representatives from industry media were invited to prepare their own dinner at a competition at one of the city’s premier culinary institutes.
