NAC Leases 5 E-Jets to Belavia

Belavia of Belarus is set to triple its current E-Jet fleet with the lease of 5 E-Jets from Nordic Aviation Capital.

The Minsk-based airline will receive the 2 new E175s and 3 new E195s between April 2019 and April 2020 on 12-year operating leases. The 76-seat E175s will have 12 business class and 64 economy class seats. The 96-seat E195s will be configured with 11 business class and 85 economy class seats.

According to the airline, the new E-Jets will bridge the seat capacity gap between its Bombardier CRJs and larger Boeing B737s.

Today, Belavia flies four E-Jets – 2 E175s and 2 E195s. Next week, the carrier will take delivery of a new E175 with 2 new E195s arriving later this year. Those additions are part of a previous order that will grow the E-Jet fleet to 7 by year end.

When the 5 NAC-leased airplanes are delivered, Belavia will have tripled its E-Jet fleet to 12 aircraft.
