Le Bourget 2013 – New Airplanes, Customers and Orders

Embraer Paris Air Show Le Bourget

Embraer Commercial Aviation logged an impressive number of aircraft orders at this year’s Paris Air Show, especially for the E2s, the second generation of E-Jets.  The new, three-aircraft program was officially launched at a press conference on June 17 led by Embraer CEO Fred Curado and Paulo Cesar Silva, the President of the Commercial Aviation division.

Details of the E2 generation of E-Jets were presented in a dedicated theme building that featured interactive displays, a jumbo-sized image of the flight deck, models, videos and tablet e-presentations from partner companies.

Air show visitors were able to learn more about the E2s in a dedicated building featuring touch screen displays, graphics and models.

The evolution of Embraer’s commercial aircraft product line was represented through models of each of the company’s aircraft.

Guests could get a close-up view of the new E2 flight deck with a larger-than-life wall image of the cockpit.

Parked adjacent to the E2 building was an Air Astana E190.  The airline has a growing fleet of E-Jets that it is using to build its network and frequencies from Almaty and Astana.  Guests were able to step aboard the E-Jet and inspect the cockpit and cabin and meet with company representatives.

Embraer also hosted a dinner on June 18 for VIPs at the historic le Pavillon Cambon in central Paris.  Over one hundred guests were treated to a high-tech “4D Experience” before dinner in which the pavilion was magically transformed into an E195-E2 that flew them on a trip around the world.

Embraer hosted at dinner at Pavillon Cambon, an architectural treasure built on the grounds of the 17th century residence of the former Marechal of Luxembourg.

Pavillon Cambon magically transformed into an E195-E2 that flew Embraer guests around the world on a simulated flight that included a stop in a forest in the Brazilian Amazon.
