Jazz Aviation Flies E175s

Canada’s Jazz Aviation, a subsidiary of Chorus Aviation Inc., started flying its first of 25 E175s on behalf of Air Canada this morning. The flight departed from Toronto to Regina (YQR) under the Air Canada Express banner.

The 76-seat E175s are configured with 12 seats in business class and 64 seats in economy class.

Air Canada was Embraer’s launch customer for the E175. The Canadian flag carrier received the first of 15 E175s in 2005.

Jazz is flying the E175s as Air Canada Express under a capacity purchase agreement with Air Canada. The E175 fleet will serve cities in Central and Eastern Canada, and fly transborder routes to/from cities in the Northeast US.
