Helvetic’s E190-E2 Readies for First Flight

Helvetic Airways of Switzerland is preparing its first E190-E2 for revenue service. The inaugural flight, LX850 on November 1, will be a 623 km, 95-minute leg from Zürich to Bremen.

Helvetic E190-E2 arrival in Zurich

The airline received its new E190-E2 at a ceremony in our delivery hangar in São José dos Campos on October 28. After the formal hand over, guests gathered in front of the hangar doors to watch the aircraft taxi to the runway. There was spontaneous applause when the E2 rolled down the runway and took off into the clear evening sky.

Helvetic hosted a ceremony in its own hanger in Zürich to welcome the E2 to the fleet. Industry VIPs, employees and members of the European media attended the October 31 event.
