Fuji Dream Airlines of Japan is reporting some impressive numbers. The domestic carrier operates an eleven-aircraft, all E-Jet fleet, a mix of E170s and E175s painted in distinctive, multi-coloured liveries.
Ever since it received its first E-Jet in 2009, Fuji Dream has grown in size, network, and passenger enplanements. During this year’s busy Obon holiday season, the company recorded a 10% increase in load factor compared to last year.
What is especially noteworthy is the consistently high dispatch reliability of the fleet. FDA ranks among the highest of all E-Jet operators in the world. Dispatch reliability measures the readiness of an aircraft to depart on schedule.
Mr. Kawano, FDA’s General Manager of Engineering, has set a 12-month, fleet-wide dispatch target of 99.90%. The company’s latest report shows a 12-month rolling average of 99.82%. Embraer’s Customer Account Manager in Japan who oversees FDA, Mr. Pedro Makiyama, and his team are eager to hit the airline’s target.
