Representatives from SkyWest Airlines and Alaska Airlines officially received the Seattle-based carrier’s first E175 at a handover ceremony at Embraer’s factory in São José dos Campos on June 4.
The aircraft was the first to be delivered from an order for up to 23 E175s placed by SkyWest Airlines’ parent company, SkyWest Inc., in November 2014. The aircraft will be flown on behalf of Alaska Airlines under a capacity purchase agreement. The E175s are configured with 12 First Class and 64 Economy Class seats.
Alaska Airlines is a subsidiary of the Alaska Air Group and serves more than 100 cities in a network covering Alaska, Hawaii, Canada, Mexico and the mainland USA.
