Mr. Guan Dongyuan, President of Embraer China, is the recipient of the prestigious Leadership Excellence Award, an honour bestowed by Government of China as part of its 2013 Aerospace Laureate Awards program.  The ceremony was held at the 2013 China Aviation Expo.

This is the ninth year the Government has presented awards that recognize outstanding contributions by businesses or individuals in promoting the development of industrial cooperation between China and other countries.

Six years ago, Embraer was recognized by the Laureate Society.  The Harbin Embraer Aircraft Industry Co. Ltd. (HEAI) received the first Working Together Award for the company’s partnership with the Aviation Industry Corporation of China (AVIA).  HEAI represented the first phase of international cooperation between Brazil and China to promote the development of regional aviation in the country.

After the USA, China is home to the largest fleet of Embraer commercial jets in the world.
