Last week, on April 19, Envoy Air, a wholly-owned subsidiary of the American Airlines Group, and Embraer reached an impressive milestone with the 3:26 pm departure of American Eagle AA3217 from Dallas-Ft Worth Airport (DFW) to Northwest Arkansas Airport (XNA). The scheduled service, operated by Envoy Air, marked the airline’s 2,500th E175 flight to depart without a controllable cancellation.
Envoy Air is a long-standing Embraer customer. The carrier is transforming its fleet with the addition of 40 new E175s in the coming months. The airline also operates the 50-seat ERJ 145 and 44-seat ERJ 140.
Since January 2013, Embraer has sold 332 E175s to airlines in North America. The E175 is becoming the aircraft of choice in the 76-seat jet category having logged more than 80% of all orders in that market.
