Embraer hosted an assembly of some 170 representatives from the CAAC, operators of E-Jets and suppliers at its annual Operators Conference on May 26 & 27. This year, the venue was the port city of Qingdao in eastern Shandong province. This was the twelfth conference that Embraer has organized in China.
The agenda for the two-day event included discussions on engineering and the technical management of in-service fleets, flight operations, spare parts management and maintenance cost optimization. As host, Embraer also detailed developments with its E-Jets E2 program.
The number Embraer aircraft in China keeps growing. Today, the company has delivered 126 commercial jets to customers who are flying them on 430 routes that connect over 100 airports.
In recognition of the contribution that its customers have made to Embraer’s success in China, it handed out awards at a reception at the conclusion of the conference. Among the awards that were given were:
Excellence in E-Jets Fleet Operation Innovation (Tianjin Airlines)
Best E-Jet Fleet Performance (China Southern Airlines)
Outstanding E-Jet Fleet Utilization (Hebei Airlines)
