Aurigny Air Services Goes Jet

Starting next year, passengers flying between Guernsey in the Channel Islands and London Gatwick Airport will travel with jet speed and in jet comfort when an Embraer E195 joins the Aurigny Air Services fleet.

The E195 will be the first jet for the carrier which currently operates 72-seat ATR72 turboprops six times daily on its principal route between London Gatwick and Guernsey.

The E195 is configured with 122 slim seats in a single class layout and will enable the carrier to offer much-needed capacity.  The LGW-GCI sector is a short 187 sm which means the E195 will be in the air only a quick 32 minutes.

Aurigny Air Services was launched in 1968.  Since then, it has carried nine million passengers on a network the covers Guernsey, Jersey, Alderney, Bristol, East Midlands, Manchester, Gatwick and London Stansted.
