Following its Asian debut at the Zhuhai Airshow last November, the
E-Jets E2 cabin mock up concluded its Southeast Asia display in Singapore at
the end of January. The mock up has been
receiving rave reviews after it was first shown at the 2014 Farnborough International
Air Show. The distinctive two-cabin
layout features a unique staggered premium seating arrangement in the forward
The January 13-23 display saw more than one hundred representatives
from airlines, the financial community, industry analysts and the media view
Pratt & Whitney, the
manufacturer of the new PurePowerTM geared turbofan high by-pass
ratio engine on the E2s, co-hosted the event with Embraer.

The Singapore venue also served as the launch for promoting
Embraer’s perspective on opportunities for the aircraft in Asia. A New Way Forward details the consumption habits of newly empowered Asian consumers and
their diverse needs when purchasing air travel.
Those needs, directly, impact how they will travel which, in turn,
affects the kind of aircraft that are best suited for the region.
Next stop will be in
Sydney, from 16 to 21, March, to welcome existing and
prospective E-Jet customers and industry media and guests. From there, it heads west to Europe where it
will be on display at the Paris Air Show this June.
